Problems with your computer?
South Gloucestershire Trading Standards remind us to be wary of unsolicited calls, whether by telephone or at our door.
Trading Standards have been made aware of a current phone scam where the caller rings unsolicited claiming to be from Microsoft, explains that there have been reports of slow computer connections in the area and guides you through the steps necessary to combat this problem. The caller then asks for a fee of £100.
If you feel you have fallen victim to such practices, or would like further advice, contact Consumer Direct on 08454 04 05 06.
