We're being warned that South Glos Council officers are visiting homes that have failed to return their electoral roll registration forms.
Trading Standards want us to watch out for distraction burglars posing as council officials.
All legitimate canvassers have been instructed not to enter homes, and to wear visible ID, which can be verified by contacting South Glos Council on 01454 868009.
