Chipping Sodbury and Yate St John Ambulance


Thanks to our volunteers, Chipping Sodbury and Yate St John Ambulance division has been supplying First Aid to local events for several years, from a variety of Athletics at Yate Outdoor Sports Complex to Horton fell runs, Gymkhanas, carnivals and Heritage events.
Providing this vital First Aid is a rewarding and often challenging experience. St John Ambulance as an organisation has helped Badgers, Cadets and Adults to achieve many social and fundamental life skills. Its members are vital to the organisation and in return; members achieve qualifications and confidence and a whole new network of friends.

Chipping Sodbury Lions Club


Members raise funds for charitable causes, enjoy a great social life, have fun and gain fellowship with other Lions clubs. Members come from all walks of life and across a large age range.
Chipping Sodbury Lions Club provides direct service to our community by events such as the Chipping Sodbury Street Fair & Carnival, Christmas Santa Claus float, Golf Day and Carol Concert.

Chipping Sodbury Town Hall


We host a wide variety of events at The Town Hall and at our alternative Town Centre premises throughout the year. Parts of the Town Hall date back to the 1400s and it's a perfect venue for Marriage Ceremonies, Wedding Receptions, Birthday and Celebration Parties. The impressive auditorium can cater for larger events and Dinner Dances.

Chipping Sodbury Victorian Day Committee


The Chipping Sodbury Victorian Day Committee organise their event annually in December.
The committee is drawn from the Sodbury and Dodington Councils, Chipping Sodbury Lions and Rotary Clubs, the Festival Society and representatives from local schools and traders.

Horton and Little Sodbury Village Hall


Run by the community for the community, the large Village hosts regular activities and is available for hire all year round. It has an open indoor space, configurable for events such as weddings, birthdays, activities and business conferences. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor facilities, and the hall has its own car park.

Sodbury & District Twinning Association


We promote and foster friendship and understanding between the people of Sodbury and District and those of Cesson and District in France.

Yate Volunteer Centre


The Volunteer Centre offers free, friendly advice and information to anyone interested in volunteering; we offer an informal chat about your volunteering interests and can place you in roles to suit your skills, interests and availability. Open Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays between 10am and 12pm. Just call in to our office adjacent to Yate Library. We can also offer appointments on Thursdays between 10am and 3pm, please phone or email to arrange. If you are a group seeking volunteers, register with us and we will advertise your role for free, we can also help with advice on developing new volunteer opportunities.
