The U3A Drawing and Painting group has been operating for several years. It was formed primarily as a beginner’s group, where members could feel relaxed and able to try out various media with support from the coordinators.
They have grown both in confidence and skills and have developed into a mixed ability group with members now concentrating on their preferred media. To support and extend their artistic knowledge and skills, well known local artists demonstrate and run workshops in different media throughout the year.
We have held several successful exhibitions in Poole Court, Yate, The Heritage Centre, Yate and The Old Grammar School, Chipping Sodbury.
