Sodbury and District Twinning Association Visit: A busy weekend ahead for 46 visitors from Cesson
Saturday 11th - Monday 13th June
A group of 46 visitors from Chipping Sodbury’s twin town of Cesson in France (Seine-et-Marne) will be visiting the area from the 11th to the 13th June. Among them will be one of the Town’s Deputy Mayors, Jean-Michel Belhomme, who is responsible for Urban Planning and Construction.
Sodbury & District Twinning Association have organised a full programme of events in conjunction with Chipping Sodbury Festival. There will be an Official Reception in Chipping Sodbury Town Hall on the Saturday evening, followed by a Barn Dance with Rumpus & caller Martin Hewett. The following day, Sunday, at The Ridings overflow car park, Wickwar Road, Chipping Sodbury, there will be a Boules Pétanque match starting at at 12 midday.
That evening our friends from Cesson with their hosts will go to the Mendip Male Voice Choir’s Concert at St. John’s Chipping Sodbury. On Monday, the group will go on a guided walking tour of Bath before leaving for Cesson in the evening.
The Twinning Associaton aims to foster friendship and understanding between the people of Sodbury and the people of Cesson, near Paris in France. Click below for the full events programme.
