Growing Ideas Gardening Club
We meet every first Wednesday of the month (with a break at Christmas) in the Watkins Room in the Old Grammar School Rooms, Chipping Sodbury at 7.30pm. Annual Subs are £13.50 and visitors pay £2.50. We have a varied programme of speakers and the occasional workshop, for example, willow weaving. In May and June we go on evening visits to local gardens and there is usually a coach trip to somewhere further afield on one weekend. We support Sodbury in Bloom and are hoping to take on a project of our own this year.
We are a friendly club and by no means all expert gardeners. We enjoy sharing what knowledge we do have and welcome visitors to any of our meetings.
If anyone is interested in joining or just finding out about our club they are welcome to come to a meeting or phone Julia Bernau on 01454 313842.

Severnside Ramblers
We arrange walks each weekend as well as midweek evenings in the summer. The area and length of the walk varies greatly and members also arrange occasional weekends away.
We have regular social events such as skittles evenings, quiz nights, barbecues and the like, and there is always a Christmas dinner.
However, we are more than just a walking club. The Ramblers is a registered charity and one of its aims is to campaign to keep the footpath network open.
Please visit our website below for details of our walks.

Wapley Bushes Local Nature Reserve
The warmth and exhilaration of flower rich meadows, secretive ancient woodlands and wooded grassland plateaux are all found on a visit to Wapley Bushes Local Nature Reserve to the south of Yate.
