Chipping Sodbury Grammar School Old Pupils Association
Mel Jeffries would like to set up an Old Pupils Association for Chipping Sodbury Grammar School/Chipping Sodbury School. There was a very active Old Pupils Association when he attended the school in the late 1950s/early 1960s! A small group of former pupils could bring this into reality so please let him know, using the email address shown below, if you feel you could help to make this happen. Should there be sufficient interest a meeting will be convened as soon as possible to set things in motion.
September 2013 will see the 75th Anniversary of the school on the current site. We had great Reunions to celebrate the 60th anniversary in 1998 and the 65th in 2003. How about another in 2013? Mel looks forward to hearing from the ‘Old Sodburians’: pupil 1956–1963, teacher 1970–2005, governor 2008–2011.

Gareth Millington

“Chipping Sodbury School is a vibrant and inclusive mixed 11-18 school set on the edge of the beautiful market town of Chipping Sodbury.
At our school every student is encouraged to achieve more than they ever thought possible whilst being supported and nurtured in a truly caring community. Students from year 7 to year 13 enjoy being here, work hard at their studies and are proud of their school.
I am always delighted to meet prospective parents who wish to see the school 'in action' on a normal day or who wish to discuss any particular issues that they may have.”

Yate and Sodbury 6th Form Art Exhibition
31st January-21st February (Tues-Thurs and Saturdays only), 10.30-4.30pm, Yate and District Heritage Centre, Church Road, Yate BS37 5BG

Brimsham Green School and Chipping Sodbury School are proud to present an exhibition of work by their Fine Art A’ Level Students.

This is the fourth year that Yate Heritage Centre has offered the space to exhibit the work of our Linked Sixth Form and we are delighted to have this opportunity once again.

Exhibiting art work in public is an important skill and for many of these young artists this is a new experience.

Work is of a highly personal nature; however, it has been based on the following themes – ‘Contrast and Camouflage’ and ‘Reflections, Distortions and Changes’.
